DESCRIPTION/COURSE OVERVIEW

Marijuana in the workplace. Helping employers understand the ever-changing acceptance and what they are permitted to do under the PA Medical Marijuana law. This is not a legal statute presentation, but an honest representation of what THC in the workplace looks like today. Are your employees using a nicotine vape pen or is it really a THC vape? What is impairment vs under the influence and why these terms are radically different and how to use them effectively in workplace drug and alcohol safety programs.

    Chandra Spring DeWald is an assiduous Employer Outreach Liaison, Former Board of Directors with National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA) and Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association(DATIA), Master Trainer CPCT (DATIA), Accredited Consortia/Third Party Administrator (C/TPA), Certified Medical Review Office Assistant (CMRO-A), Certified Professional Collector Trainer (CPCT), and Certified Lifeloc Operator Calibration Technician as well as Provisional instructor for Lifeloc Breath Alcohol Devices, supervisor trainer, speaker, and consultant for workplace drug and alcohol testing programs & service agents. Chandra has served as an expert witness and has provided consulting, speaking engagements and/or training programs for many organizations including Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, UPMC, and 100's of other organizations nationwide. As a Subject Matter Expert on Best Practices her goal is to help all companies meet their Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated requirements by working as a C/TPA, having drug free employees, training service agents' proper rules, regulations, and procedures to do their job effectively, and to inform organizations about the drug and alcohol testing industry. Since 2002, Chandra has worked on the front lines and in administrative roles in Occupational Health.

    bers in good standing with their dues and non-members that have paid the nominal fee will receive these credits if in attendance for a minimum of 50 minutes of the program.
